Our Champions League Orange players got the ball rolling this Friday with more than 30 players enjoying the team environment down at the Aviation Club.
Coach Milans Snakes (we may need to change that name) have taken an early lead in this competition with Andres and Rafa hot on his heels.
Following this the 14 and unders took to the courts with more than 50 players in total playing some scintillating tennis.
Newcomer, Cara O Flaherty, from South Africa who is also playing some ITF events reached the final where she met Roseleen Aliousef in an incredible display of female tennis! It was Cara who took her first title of this season and we look forward to more battles between her, Roseleen and the other outstanding players.
For the boys it was service as usual with Amman Anwar taking on Hercules Gerousis in another fabulous match. Both players have spent years battling each other and we look forward to more as these two gladiators vie for a place on the plane to Paris! Both girls and boys finals ended 6/2 leaving Amman and Cara with the plaudits.
Finally we welcomed one of our favourite events of the calendar, the Generations Doubles. Father/Son, Mother/Son, Father/Daughter, Mother/Daughter or even sometimes coach and child this event is a fun and exciting variation for those looking to improve their doubles plus having some quality time with loved ones. Karl and Michael played an astonishingly competitive final saving 3 match points before overcoming Dev and Andrew!
