The small matter of the Adidas Road to Roland Garros Junior Masters Finals were decided this weekend! We also had our own little bit of fun with the CF Tennis Academy “Money where your mouth is” Singles Final and let’s not forget the doubles too.

The conclusion of over 25 weeks of competition occurred on this unbearably warm final Saturday of April. Without a doubt some of the finals left all spectators mesmerized as these young warriors fought for the end of year title and that incredible trip to Roland Garros.

The 10 and under category saw contrasting Finals with Aditi Ghulati comfortably dispatching Aashita Chaturvedy by 4-0. The boys however saw one of the best matches of the year with Rayan Sajjid finally coming through in an epic tiebreak 4-3(6) against Aryan Nanda.

The 12 and under boys and girls saw identical score lines as both champions dominated to victory. Elias Anwar, playing with a cast on his broken wrist, wasn’t going to allow himself to miss this opportunity to make that flight to Paris as he took out an incredibly talented Hussein Nada by 6-0. Coumba Ben just did not have enough to take out the ever consistent Rosaleen Alioussef.(6-0)

Rosaleen then had to battle sickness, fatigue and an extremely determined opponent in Vipasha Mehra who battled back from 5/1 to take the title by 6-5(5)whilst Hercules Gerousis was clinical in his victory over Anurag Reddy by 6-4.

Bea Acena managed to retain her title but not without a battle against the young Romanian Stefania Bojica (6-4) whilst Hercules didn’t have enough firepower to hurt an incredibly athletic Zakarias Faizal (6-3).

Sam Omoile managed to edge a fabulous tiebreak and retain his title from Frenchman Christophe Vernis whilst Jon Guntley and Amber Hailemariam comfortably overcame the Pakistan combination of Zohair Raza and Khurram Nassir, winning 6/3.
