This Friday CF Tennis Academy hosted a special edition of the Colour Series where all finalists were lucky enough to win the prize of escorting the professionals on court during the upcoming Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships!
The day began with the 8 & Under’s Red event. The semi-final’s of the boys saw Taif Charaf beat Harry Foster (11/2). Plus, Mohammed Manna matched up with Hassan Khalifa (11/9). Our final was between Mohammed Manna and Taif Charaf where Mohammed was victorious (11/6). Following this we had the girls category. Firstly, in the semi-finals, we had Diya Nair & Mara Djukic (11/1) along with Mia Krishna making her way pass Li Kexin (11/9). The final between Mia Krishna and Diya Nair resulted in Mia Krishna as our winner (11/7).
Next up was the Green 10 & Under’s boys tournament. The semi-finalists for this event were Ege Topkoc versus Aryan Nanda (4/1) followed by Rayan Sajjid and Anthony Moukarzel (4/1). The winner of this event was Ege Topkoc who beat Rayan Sajjid in the final (4/3 (7/5)). The girls category saw Andra Sirbu battle against Iyannah Pardiwala (4/1) and Archisha Mukherjee versus Sonika (4/2) as our semi-final match ups. The final between Andra Sirbu and Archisha resulted in Andra Sirbu as our winner (4/1).
Finally, we had the 9 & Under’s Orange categories at 1pm. Battling against the sun as well as the fellow competitors our Girls semi-finalists were Sonika & Mahati (4/0) along with Diya Nair & Li Kexin (4/2). The final resulted in Sonika as our winner after beating Diya Nair (4/2). To round off the day we had the Boys semi-finals between Anthony Moukarzel & Dev Kanbargimath (4/1) followed by Rayan Sajjid & Aryan Nanda (4/3 (7/5)). The final saw Anthony Moukarzel take our final title of the day after beating Rayan Sajjid (4/0).
We would like to give a special mention to Rayan Sajjid and Diya Nair for demonstrating admirable and outstanding levels of respect and sportsmanship by kindly giving two more of our competitors the chance to walk with the stars, due to them both reaching the finals twice. Diya Nair elected Li Kexin to take her place while Rayan Sajjid gave this fabulous opportunity to Aryan Nanda. Thank you and well done for this commendable decision.
