Finally the weather seems to be easing off but the intensity and quality of matches is certainly not cooling down whatsoever as we move into November.
Our Green Champions League program threw up 6 teams with Andres fielding the most and getting himself into a strong position at the Top of the rankings.
The 14 and unders took to the courts this week with some of the most scintillating tennis so far this season being played by some familiar names.
The Girls event saw Stefania Bojica battle through to the final with an epic semi final victory against Tanya Nanda 6/5. The other semi was far more one sided with newcomer Vipasha Mehra dismantling the game of Coumba Ben 6/0. The final saw Vipasha take her first title at CF Tennis Academy, 6/2, which we hope will stand her in good stead for the ITF Junior event she was preparing for.
Can anyone stop Aman Anwar this season? So far the DESC student has been completely dominant in the 14 and under category with all around hoping for a dip in form sooner rather than later! All for semi finalists have been champions in the past however none have been able to raise their games to defeat Aman so far. Hercules Gerousis played some sublime tennis throughout the day however he was not able to take that one extra step losing 6/2.
Its ITF week at the Aviation Club all week meaning some outstanding players will be there all week so don’t miss out!
